To the Father I never had

Sorry I was not able to meet you sooner. So as you lay there, let me tell you a story.

                     I have always wondered what it would be like to have a father like you? You seem to be strict but not too strict. I honestly think you did a wonderful job in raising your kids together with your wife.  Your family is the type I want to have; all your kids are independent but are still closer to one another even though they have differences. Your wife is really lucky to have you, you never left her to worry about your family's future, you have ensure that all is good to go even if you leave for somewhere for an indefinite time. You have ensured that they will live comfortably even when you are away.

                       I'm sorry I was not brave enough to meet you before all this. Now all I have are stories about how you did not want to go yet, how you fought against this, how you have worried about your youngest son and his future, how certain incidents  made people think that you really did not want to go and leave them yet. I personally think you did not really want to leave, the fact that you still when to work, even though you know that you could be sent home, your dedication to work for your family and their future will definitely inspire me. Until the end you were selfless. This maybe just one side of the story but still I'm glad I was able to know you a bit.

                        Our last two meetings were definitely worthwhile. I will treasure them! From all the stories I have heard, I know you are not flawless but I have to say you're the father I wish I had. Thank you for caring for the man I love now, thank you for making him strong. And I pray that he be the same to his family and children as you were, regardless if I'm the one with him or not.
